This course is not for companies that Facebook cannot target; for instance, windshield repair companies and criminal attorneys. Facebook doesn't know if someone's windshield is cracked. In addition, Facebook doesn't know if someone got a DUI and got arrested yesterday. Course Content

Requirements - You'll need these before starting any Facebook Ads campaign

Although this course is designed as an A-Z course, you do not need to learn everything about Facebook marketing. You just have to become good at a couple types of Campaign Objectives. I talk about which Campaign Objectives are for beginners and I show the advanced Campaign Objectives, which are for experienced marketers. I even show you why "Boosted Posts" suck!

In this chapter, you'll learn about the requirements you'll need like a Facebook Company Page, Facebook Ads Manager Account, where to enter your credit card information, landing page builders, etc. These are the only things you will need to get setup to start marketing using the Facebook Ads Manager program.

Learn about landing page builders like LeadPages, ClickFunnels, Unbounce, Instapage, Thrive Architect, etc., and when to use these. I also teach how you can save money and get a landing page builder for free if you are using WordPress. If you're just starting off, you do not need to spend $100/mo USD for ClickFunnels. The page you are reading right now is built on Thrive Architect (which is a 1-time cost of $228 USD). But if you're really on a tight budget, you can use a simple WordPress plugin like Elementor for free!

What Are Campaigns, Ad Sets, and Ads

Before starting any campaign, you will learn the hierarchy of campaigns, ad sets, & ads and how they work together. You'll never get lost in Facebook Ad Manager once you understand how to navigate through this program.

Brand Awareness Campaigns

The brand awareness objective is for advertisers who want to show ads to people who are more likely to remember them. Facebook will ask them within two days of seeing your ad. If you are trying to 'brand' your company, this is different than getting people in the door or to set an appointment with you.

Reach Campaigns (great for retail stores like restaurants, grocery stores, liquor stores, etc. Basically for companies that need foot traffic.)

The reach objective maximizes the number of people who see your ads and how often they see them. In this chapter, we will show how our ad reached 80,000 people. This was for a café, who ran out of food. Also, we show a great example of a pizza shop we work with. Be careful with reach campaigns because it can be overkill for the employees who are working at restaurants, bars, and cafes.

Traffic Campaigns

A traffic campaign is the most popular campaign. When someone clicks the "Learn More" button on a sponsored ad, the person will leave Facebook and go to a landing page. You'll need a website or a company like LeadPages or Clickfunnels where your visitors can opt into your newsletter, register for an appointment, or a webinar.

Video Campaigns

Video campaigns are great if you need to educate people about your product or service. The power of video campaigns is that if 100 people watch 75% of video #1, then you can show video #2 to those 100 people. In other words, in order to watch the 2nd video, people would have to watch the first video. As always, you can watch our videos to "see" how to set up a campaign.

Lead Generation Campaigns (a MUST have for any service based business like insurance, CPA/Accountants, marketing company, catering, wedding company)

This is 'go-to' campaign. We love this one for sales people. Watch how your instructor, Francisco, sets up a Facebook form that pre-populates a person's name, phone number, and email. No need to send anyone to a landing page since the person will continue to stay on Facebook. You'll also learn how to get these leads into your email inbox and/or get notified via SMS text message right when someone submits their contact information.

Post Engagement Campaigns

This type of campaign is to increase engagement with one of your ads. Facebook considers the following as engagement metrics: Post Shares, Post Reactions, Post Saves, Post Comment, Page Likes, Post Interactions, 3-Seconds Video Plays, Photo Views, Link Clicks.

Watch our screen as we set up a post engagement campaign. Depending on your business, you'll need to decide whether a post engagement campaign or a reach campaign is better.

Page Like Campaigns

This campaign is the easiest one to set up. But as business owners, do you think getting "Likes" is going to bring in business? Page Likes has its place. It's a cheap campaign to run and the best thing a Page Like campaign is that you can keep showing ads to your followers. Francisco, your instructor, believes that getting Page Likes doesn't bring sales, unless you create a specific target audience that only shows ads to your followers.

Event Responses Campaigns

Event Response campaigns are for in-person events like concerts, birthdays, gatherings, etc. You will need to create an event on your company page first, then use the Facebook Ads Event Response campaign to target your audience.

Messages Campaigns

Think of a Messages campaign as a Facebook Messenger campaign. If you use this type of campaign, you should have Messenger installed on your phone. This is like a live chat. Basically this campaign is open communication with your business via Messenger, Instagram, or Whatsapp.

Conversions Campaigns

You'll need the Facebook Pixel installed in your website for this to work. A Conversions campaign is for getting people to take action on your website. Here at Planet Marketing, we use Conversion campaigns for selling our courses. In our case, the 'conversion' is a sale. Your conversion may be a newsletter signup, an event registration, a purchase, or anything that requires an action on your website.

Pixels

The Facebook Pixel can be the difference between having a successful long-term campaign and a failed campaign that sucks your bank account dry. It tracks what your visitors do on your website. Watch our screen as we install the Facebook Pixel into WordPress and Landing Page Builders like Leadpages, ClickFunnels, etc. For more advanced users, watch our video on how to install the Facebook Pixel via Google Tag Manager.

Facebook Remarketing and How To Set It Up

Want you ads to follow people who have already been to your website? Also known as retargeting, remarketing is a great way to get back in front of people who have been to certain parts of your site. For instance, if 100 people went from Google organic and viewed your pricing page, you can remarket to these people. One of the best marketing campaigns we have ever seen was from an ecommerce site where Google sent free organic traffic to a category page. From there, a Facebook remarketing campaign would launch and the final purchase was typically made because of a Facebook remarketing campaign, not the initial visit.

Zapier - Automate Your Workflow

Zapier is a program that will connect your Facebook Lead Generation campaigns to your CRM. It can also send you an SMS text message right when a lead is submitted. We use it to get notified via Email that a lead was generated, automatically create a deal within our CRM, and to create a project within our project management software. Basically, we use Zapier to automate a lot of he workflow. BTW, Zapier rhymes with "Happier". Now you know how it's pronounced.

Customer Audience Lists - Your Competitors Aren't Doing This!

Do you have a list of emails or phone numbers in a spreadsheet? Upload them into Facebook Audiences “Customer List” and these contacts will see your Sponsored Ad. In other words, if someone on your spreadsheet has an email or phone number registered with Facebook, they can see your ad.

Software We Use

This is more of a bonus section. As your company grows, you'll want to use technology to take the workload off your shoulders. We already covered Zapier. In addition, we cover CRMs like Salesforce, Activecampaign, Pipedrive. We cover opt in forms and marketing automation for lead generation. We already covered landing page builders, but we also cover online shopping carts and payment systems. We don't go too much in depth here because our goal is to help you build a strategy, not just recommend software.

Turning on the Facebook campaigns could sometimes (oftentimes) be overwhelming. The great thing is that if we're short on leads, we can just flip the switch and turn on the Facebook ads and ....BOOM! Sales come in that day. People would even reach out to us through Instagram. We get more sales from Facebook than Google.
